NTV presenter Stella Katiwa, colloquially known as Miss Katiwa, has bowed out of Nation Media Group (NMG) owned station after four years of work.
In her last statement dated Monday, January 31, announcing her exit, the screen goddess, who hosted Jamdown reggae show, thanked her co-hosts, producers, and fans for the support given to her, which has gone a long way to boost her media career.
“Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a major role in my path and my career. Kriss Darlin, you’ve been a blessing, Mercy Maroma and Justus Tharao, thank you for believing in me and trusting me with the show, you are such a blessing and one of my favourite bosses so far.
“Four years ago, I got an opportunity to join NTV to host a show dubbed Jamrock. Two years later, it gave birth to Jamdown, and yesterday was my last show. Everything that has a beginning has an end too,” she stated.
She says that her stay at NTV has taught her a lot as she was employed while still raw and now exits when she is well versed and adept with some TV skills.
Miss Katiwa has not yet announced her future action after the resignation, but still holds her position as a presenter at Homeboyz Radio, where she hosts a late-night show alongside Demakufu and Wilson Muirani alias Jaymo Ule Msee.
NTV has already declared a vacancy for the position initially occupied by Katiwa and has asked those interested to send short videos before February 3, 2022.
This comes a day after KTN’s Jamal Gaddafi called it quits to focus on politics as he eyes the Malindi parliamentary seat in the 2022 polls.
“It’s time for a new adventure. Yesterday [Saturday] was my last show at KTN as I start a new chapter of my life in politics. What an epic 8 years. Thank you to everyone who supported me and my shows. Let’s go out big!” Jamal’s message read.
