President Uhuru keen to complete ongoing projects before tenure ends

President Uhuru Kenyatta is determined to ensure that all ongoing Government development projects are completed as scheduled.

President’s Spokesperson Kanze Dena said unfinished projects by the end of President Kenyatta’s tenure later this year will be taken over by the next administration.

Kanze who was speaking during an interview with local vernacular radio station Inooro said the implementation of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big 4 Agenda programs and other flagship infrastructure projects is progressing well.

“Ahead of the roll out of the Universal Healthcare Cover, the Government expanded access to healthcare in the country by constructing and equipping new hospitals as well as addressing diseases like cancer which are a huge burden to Kenyans,” She said.

The President recently launched the national roll out of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC), in Mombasa County, a program that will ensure that all Kenyans have access to quality and affordable healthcare.

“Every decision President Kenyatta makes, he does it with the best of interest of mwananchi at heart. This is why he came up with the Big 4 Agenda program that prioritizes manufacturing, affordable housing, food security and UHC projects,” Kanze said.

Kanze said President Uhuru has prioritised efficiency in the delivery of public services and accountability, by ensuring digitization of key Government services.

And ahead of the August election, Kanze said President Uhuru has clearly and repeatedly explained to Kenyans his political choice for the forthcoming presidential election.

“The President has talked about his decisions from 2018 when he shook hands with opposition leader Raila Odinga and how the arrangement has enabled him to successfully deliver his pre-election pledges,” She said.

During the recent Sagan III meeting, President Uhuru rallied Mt Kenya region to support Raila saying he is the best suited to take care of their interests.

Kanze said the President has given his undertaking to ensure the forthcoming elections, are peaceful, free and fair saying various Government agencies who will conduct the elections will be provided with the support they need.
