Laikipia woman representative Cate Waruguru has come out guns blazing at Deputy President William Ruto accusing him of disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta by engaging in early 2022 campaigns.

Waruguru was peaking in Solio village on Sunday, July 12, during distribution of food to the vulnerable families due to coronavirus pandemic as well as awarding cheques, tents, and tanks to various women and youth groups in the area.
The vocal legislator said Ruto should shelve his 2022 political ambitions and respect the president failure to which the Mt Kenya region will support someone else in the 2022 presidential elections.
“The Kikuyu kingpin is Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto failed the exam, he is leading a rebellion and disrespecting the president, Uhuru called us and told Ruto “after my 10 years I will lead your campaigns ” but Ruto became impatient,” she said.
The women rep further noted it was unfortunate that Ruto was crying foul and playing the victim card at the expense of poor Kenyans.
“William Ruto is not being insulted at his home ground, so Uhuru should be respected too,” she added.

The lawmaker said Ruto was very bitter with the president’s handshake with former prime minister Raila Odinga, just because he wanted to succeed President Uhuru.
“We are in the handshake to stay, Ruto should not cross the line just because he wants to succeed his boss, let him come slow,” she noted.
Waruguru advised Uhuru to let go of Ruto if he wants to govern in peace because the DP has outlived his usefulness and he was much impatient on the 2022 pact deal.
