A 31-year-old primary school teacher has been charged with cyber harassment after publishing a post on Facebook stating that Teachers Service Commission boss Nancy Macharia is dead.

The court heard that Jeremiah wrote on Facebook page the words, “Breaking news Nancy Macharia is dead, her body has been found in Oyuu’s bed”.

He denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 and the case will be mentioned February 9.

Mwavuganga is alleged to have committed the offence on diverse dates between January 16 and 20 this year at unknown place jointly with others not before court.

He is accused that he published the false with the intention of causing panic towards Macharia.
