PWD’s call for fair treatment by members of the public

Women with disability are appealing to the government to review the implementation of existing laws to protect and promote their rights and welfare. The women are decrying unfriendly public facilities for persons with disabilities. Speaking during a training to create awareness they said over time they have been facing discrimination and mistreatment by conductors of Public Service Vehicles and passengers thus demeaning their self esteem.
