Raila arrives in the UK for one-week visit

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has arrived in the United Kingdom for a one-week tour.

On Wednesday, he is expected to deliver an address to the Commonwealth Secretariat titled ​​“The Road to Peaceful Elections in Kenya” and later give his Chatham House address on “Kenya’s 2022 elections: Priorities for unity and policy change.”

He is also scheduled to hold other meetings with different leaders and groups.

on Thursday, Raila will meet Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

The ODM leader is being accompanied by Governor Ali Hassan Joho (Mombasa) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, former Head of Public Service Sally Kosgey and COTU secretary-general Francis Atwoli.

His visit coming barely a week after Deputy President William Ruto jetted back after a 10 day tour of the UK and the US.
