The High Court has temporarily halted the KSh 58million fraud case against former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and others.
Kidero, George Wainaina, John Kariuki, Paul Mutungi, Manasseh Kepha, Philomena Nzuki and ten others were to plead afresh on Monday morning to offenses said to have been committed in 2014.
It is alleged that they conspired to defraud the Nairobi City County of KSh 58million.
However, Kidero moved to the high court challenging the decision by the prosecution.
Kidero argued that the fresh charges being leveled against him are defective.
