News details have emerged on why the Deputy President William Ruto will not consider quitting the ruling Jubilee despite having difficulties with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to sources close to
the second in command, he is ploting to host delegations in his upmarket Karen and rural Sugoi homes in bid to succeed President Kenyatta.

“We are going nowhere and the DP will not resign despite the frustration. What we have done for Jubilee and this government must count and it will count,” a source privy to the information stated

DP Ruto’s bid to run for country’s top seat in 2022 has been faced with quite a number of challenges, with Kenyatta taking control over the ruling Jubilee party and approving other potential successors.

The Deputy President in the recent past enjoyed crucial influence in government and National Assembly as he played a role of helping quite a number of MPs win 2017 seats.

However, since the handshake relationship between the President and the ODM party leader Raila Odinga, the second in command dropped off the balance of power in the favor of the President.

According to the DP’s confidants
the DP is so far determined not to leave Jubilee despite facing challenges and being isolated from government.

“We laud the DP for demonstrating patience and humility in the face of all these humiliations and provocation. We believe history will be kind to the DP when the time comes,” the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen stated.
