Sabina Chege: Uhuru Rigged in 2017, We Will Do it For Raila This Time’

Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Wanjiru Chege is turning out to be one of the key political forces in ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja. She is among the few elected leaders in Mt Kenya who are drumming up support for the former Prime Minister.

On Thursday, February 10, she joined allies of Raila in Vihiga County to sell Azimio.

She implored residents of Western Kenya to stand with the opposition leader and vote for him overwhelmingly in the coming General Election.

The lawmaker assured the locals that this time around Raila will win the presidency.

She also disclosed the tactics President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto employed in 2017 to defeat the former Premier.

“I’ve heard people say that we rigged out baba in the last election and for we did that. When I tell you that Raila will win, just believe me. We are real schemers and know how to win elections. The good thing is that baba has numbers already,” she said.

Sabina also asked the Mulembe Nation not t follow ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula of Ford-Kenya in Deputy President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza.

The MP claimed that the duo auctioned the community for selfish political gains.

“President Kenyatta once wanted to appoint Mudavadi a Cabinet Secretary, but he refused, saying that the position is small. Now he is a coalition where he will get the same post if Kenya Kwanza forms the next government. Don’t follow him to the opposition.”

Raila’s fifth stab at the presidency is expected to receive a major boost later this month when the President will endorse him.

However, the DP camp argues that an approval by the Head of State will make the AU Special Envoy for Roads and Infrastructure a “State project”.
