A few months ago, Shaffie Weru had a distinguished career as a top-ranking radio personality. However, he was shown the door after making some comments that vocal women in society claimed were promoting gender-based violence (GBV).
As breakfast show host on Homeboyz Radio, he would take home Ksh600,000 every month.
Shaffie has now taken the next step and is working as an event organiser, taking advantage of the current political season to mint millions of shillings from political bigwigs, thanks to his wide networks.
In recent days, he has been spotted in big political events fixing sound systems and other equipment.
On Sunday during the ANC convention at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi, he worked behind the scenes to ensure that the systems would not disappoint the high-profile personalities, including Deputy President William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula, who graced the function.
Today, January 29, the former radio host had a similar gig in Kirinyaga where Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders – Ruto, Mudavadi, and Wetangula – were holding their first rally in the Mt Kenya region as a trio working together ahead of the coming General Election.
As a service provider, he will definitely make a lot of money before the August poll.
