Selection of Form One intake postponed – The Informer News Index

The Education Ministry has postponed the selection exercice of Form One intake.

Speaking today morning at the Joseph Kangethe primary school, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha said that the exercise is to commence mid June.

“…no cause for alarm as all learners will get the slots they deserve,” he said adding that the process will be free and fair.

The Form One selection exercise was set to take place between May 28 and June 15.

While announcing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education(KCPE) results, Magoha promised every candidate will get a place in secondary school.

More than one million candidates, 8,091 scored more than 400 marks and another 243,320 got between 301 and 400 marks.

Some 586,886 candidate scored between 201 and 300 marks while 262,307 candidates had between 101 and 200 marks.

Only 1,173 pupils had 100 marks and below.

Meanwhile, Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) have today launched the selection process of 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) to technical colleges.

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha had directed KUCCPS to ensure all interested candidates apply to colleges and Tvet institutions of their choice.

“I have directed KUCCPS to ensure proper public mobilisation and communication campaigns are put in place to ensure all intrested candidates apply to colleges and Tvet institutions of their choice,” he said.
