Top Kenyan rapper Julius Owino alias Maji Maji, known for his smash song Unbwogable, has been denied the ODM ticket to contest for the Seme parliamentary seat.

According to footage obtained by Litkenya.com, the singer-turned-politician was not pleased when the Raila Odinga-led outfit chose to give his challenger, Dr. James Nyikal, a nomination certificate without consulting him.

The Ghetto FM radio presenter had been working hard to depose Nyikal, but he was left high and dry on Friday after learning at the last minute that the ODM’s top leadership had instead certified his opponent through unconventional means.

Majimaji and his mother hopelessly sobbed in tears while holding each other in a heartbreaking video that has surfaced online.

The celebrated rapper expressed interest in the Seme Parliamentary seat and was confident of securing it the through ODM.

Since 2002, when the Unbwogable smash song helped dislodge Daniel Moi from power after he had dominated the country for 24 years, the Ghetto radio presenter and manager has been involved in politics, and his work has aided Odinga in numerous elections.

He is also claimed to have been the brains behind the now famous Emmanuel Musindi Luhya song, Lero ni Lero, which is part of the current Raila Odinga campaign apparatus.

The now heartbroken performer may decide to go independent.
