Six test positive for Covid-19, no deaths reported

Kenya reported six new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 1,248 tested in the last 24 hours representing a 0.6pc positivity rate.

Of the cases reported Monday, four are Kenyans while two are foreigners; five females and one male.

The youngest is a 39-year-old while the oldest is 85 years old.

Total confirmed cases are now 323, 792 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 3, 602, 311.

In terms of County distribution; Nairobi leads with five cases and Kilifi follows with one case. 24 patients have recovered from the disease all of them from Home Based and Isolation Care.

“This pushes the total recoveries to 318,002 of whom 264, 974 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program while 53, 028 are from various health facilities countrywide,” Said Health CS Mutahi Kagwe in a statement

No death was reported therefore the total number of fatalities remain 5, 649.

A total of two patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 128 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program

No patient is receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), one patient is on supplemental oxygen in the general ward.
