Tala loan app is a digital lending app that allows you to access credit on your mobile phone. Today I am going to show you how to download Tala app and access a loan straight to your Mpesa from Tala loan app.
I remember in the past if your parents needed a loan from the bank, the entire family will visit the bank. There was a day specifically set for the bank. Gone are those days.
With the advancement in technology, accessing a loan is now as easy as 1.2.3. All you have to do is have a mobile phone and access to the internet (or not) and you get a loan. Did I mention without security?
Here is how you can access a loan on your phone thanks to Tala.
Let’s get started…
What is Tala Mobile?
Tala mobile was formerly known as Mkopo Rahisi, the loan app belongs to a California-based company now operating in Kenya under company Inventure Access which not only serves Kenya but several other countries including Mexico, Tanzania, Philippines, and India.
It was among the first loan apps in Kenya to offer mobile loans without security.
Tala Mobile Loan App is one of the most popular apps in Kenya. Many people, though, do not know how they can access loans on Tala.
How to use Tala App
Before you can apply for loans from Tala, you must download the Tala app and register as a customer. Here is how it works.
- When you download the app to your phone, you will have to complete the registration process. Where I must insist, you provide accurate information as this will help in the loan approval process.
- After completing the registration process, you can go ahead and apply for a loan and if eligible, Tala will show you how much they can offer you. The least you can get is 500 shillings and the maximum is 30,000 shillings. You will not get 30K the first time you apply for the loan but after using the app for a while and repaying your loans on time.
- Tala claims that they don’t charge interests on their loans but rather take a service fee. The fee is calculated based on the duration which you chose to repay i.e 21 days and 30 days.
- That’s basically how Tala works. So let’s see how to download for different mobile phone users.
