More investigations on Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria have revealed how the Tanga Tanga ally swindles money from the people of Gatundu. An indicator that there may be a lot of information hidden from the public eye but will soon be revealed. Apparently, being vocal has been a tool for Moses Kuria to shield his family and himself from the looting that he is discreetly conducting through Gatundu South Constituency Development Fund.
Key to this web of loot is that Moses Kuria has himself and his brother Aloise Kuria – who is a police officer – roped in as the main signatories of the NG-CDF. A fund that is meant to benefit the residents of Gatundu is now in the hands of the ‘Kurias’ who are happy that the National government has brought in funds to fund their family greed. As constituents are denied the much needed services and development, Moses Kuria and his dear kin have created a family network of thieves that is not only for the brothers but also, one of his sisters is a major beneficiary to their corrupt acts.
Another name has emerged in the Kuria equation in the name of his blood sister – Jane Wambui Kuria who together with her brothers, calls the shots in this intricate web of theft. With all tenders focused on construction of secondary schools, Kiki Holdings Limited where Kuria’s sister is a Director received two contracts worth Sh9,814, 240. Key to note is that just as Finishline Construction Company where Aloise – a police officer – is a Director, at Kiki Holdings Limited there is a police officer listed as Director named Duncan Mwangi Ngugi, a colleague to Aloise Kuria. For them, a close presence of the police is key to ensure that they streamline any obstacles and bail them out for anything when necessary as they eat up the loot as well.
To further cement their corruption, a well-known name in the world of tenders, Stella Nyamu is also listed as a Director in a number of the Kuria companies. This woman describes herself as one who is hired in companies that cannot afford a secretary which seemingly means that Moses Kuria and his family cannot afford to hire a ‘company secretary’. The woman is linked to a web of companies that have been grossly mentioned in scandals. For instance, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi mentioned her as the secretary of Makegra Suppliers Limited that together with others defrauded Kilifi County over US $500,000 worth of goods and services never supplied. The same Stella Nyamu has been linked to a former Kiambu Governor. In the Kuria companies, she is a Director of Finishline Company where Aloise Kuria is also a Director. She is also listed in Kiki Holding Limited where Kuria’s sister is a Director and Amosteen Holdings Limited which together with Finishline received over Sh40 million worth of contracts from the Gatundu South CDF involved in the business of tenders.
Moses Kuria has deeply entrenched the system to ensure he quietly suffocates his own constituents while benefiting his own family including his relatives. It is only a matter of time that he should be behind bars with his family following behind him.
