Thugs Disarm Cops During Bank Robbery

Three thugs on Tuesday, July 27, stormed a busy banking hall and opened fire during a robbery incident in Matuu town, Machakos County.

The thugs disarmed police officers who were guarding the facility and proceeded to hold customers who inside hostage

Witnesses noted that the incident occurred at around 9:00 a.m. and lasted for 15 minutes before all the three robbers escaped.

There was a heavy exchange of gunfire as thugs shot in the air after accessing the premises. One thug was reportedly shot in the arm

It is still not clear how much money was stolen in the incident.

“The thugs got in the morning as the staff opened the hall. It was around 9:00 a.m. They took everyone hostage and closed the doors. 

“There was a gun battle but they were shooting in the air. One thug was shot in the arm,” stated one witness.
