The station took home the Compliance Award gong. It also won in the Upcoming Broadcaster Award category, alongside Switch TV, and in the Copyright category.
TV and radio stations under the RMS umbrella, however, scooped the most awards. RMS’ flagship Citizen TV won the award for Favorite TV station. Standard Group’s KTN Home and Switch TV, owned by the Kenya Red Cross (KRCS), completed the runners-up spots.
Standard Group’s Radio Maisha was crowned Favorite Radio, with RMS-owned Radio Citizen and Musyi FM following in second and third respectively.
Radio Maisha was also named as the most trusted radio station for news, followed again by Radio Citizen and Musyi FM.
Citizen TV was named most trusted TV station for news, followed by Standard Group’s KTN News and Nation Media Group (NMG)-owned NTV in second and third respectively.
GOTv Kenya was named as the favorite Pay TV service, followed by Multichoice Kenya and Startimes Media Kenya.
Citizen TV also came second in the Local Children Programming TV category, trailing EDU TV and beating out Horizon TV in third.
RMS-owned Inooro TV scooped the top award for Local Content, followed by Kameme TV and Ebru TV.
