The deceased fell ill on July 13, a day after he travelled back to Nairobi from Kakamega county according to his brother-in-law Rowland Wanyama.
Wanyama said he sought medical attention at the hospital whereupon doctors confirmed he had contracted the virus, but, he requested to be allowed to self-isolate at home.
However, on July 18, his condition worsened forcing his family to rush him to the hospital but succumbed just before he got re-admitted.
