Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve was on Thursday, June 17, discharged from the Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted since January.
The DJ was admitted at the hospital after he was shot by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino at Kilimani’s B-Club while reveling.
A video shared on twitter shows the disc jokey strapped onto an adjustable bed inside an ambulance. DJ Evolve can talk but in low tones.
Babu is accused of shooting DJ Evolve, after a CCTV footage from the club showed a man believed to be the lawmaker shooting the DJ. He even footed the DJ’s hospital bills.
Babu was arrested over the shooting, and was later released on a Sh10 million cash bail, deposited in instalments. Part of the bail money was meant to cover the DJ’s hospital bills.
Justice Kimaru had previously ruled that he can not be forced to pay the bills, unless he chooses to. The ODM lawmaker later confirmed that he paid the bill, which amounted to Sh15 million.
