VIDEO: Goons Storm Ford Kenya Headquarters With Stones Amid Party’s Leadership Tussle

Chaos erupts a Ford-Kenya offices in Nairobi on Sunday 12 July, as armed goons stormed the building with stones amid the party’s leadership battle.

In a video that has surfaced online the youth are witnessed throwing stones into the building located along Ole Dume Road in Nairobi and the guard watching helplessly as the destruction happened.

This started after the goons were denied access to the offices by the security officers guarding the building.

After being denied access to the building the armed goons resorted in throwing stones into the building, luckily there are no casualties reported from the incident.

An inside source confirmed that the incident occurred but could not give more details on what really transpired as he was out of Nairobi when the incident took place.

“I am outside Nairobi and I would have to ascertain what happened. I am just part of a secretariat and not a member so I would have to check with the party members,” he stated.

In the recent past, the party has encountered a division in its leadership with a section of the team supporting party leader and the Bungoma Moses Wetangula clashing with another team supporting Kanduyi Member of Parliament Athanas Wamunyinyi.

Wamunyinyi’s team had earlier accused the party leader of threatening and intimidating members who endorsed his (Wetangula) removal from the party’s top leadership. 

The MP’s brigade also alleged that Wetangula was forcing the members to renounce their signatures used to kicked him out of the party’s top leadership and also accused him of threatening the party members opposing him with de-whipping them from National Assembly committees.
