Could an over-excited Joan Kubai’s desire to show off her parents’ property be the beginning of their downfall?

The young Ms Joan Kubai and her family are already living this dream and their home could only be equated to a five-star hotel, the wildest dream for many kenyans.

 Joan Kubai took social media users through every room in the house except for her parents’ bedroom. 

However, the excitement could have paved way into several investigations that will certainly see the parents behind the docks to answer to cases of embezzlement of public funds.

On Monday, July 6, the internet was awash with shocked users who were still trying to digest the beautiful sight they had seen on different platforms. Joan, who was hosting a popular teen’s Snapchat page decided to walk viewers through her folks’ home tucked in Runda and each time she walked into a room, people gasped.

She kicked off the million-dollar experience with a peek into her room which was the size of a high-end, perfectly furnished apartment. It consisted of a huge sleeping area, a massive walk-in closet, a room specifically set aside for her dressing table and shoe rack and a bathroom fitted with a one of a kind bathtub.

Her brother’s room was identical and across the wall stood superb paintings that brought in a sense of sophistication that is uncommon to the general Kenyan working population.

The floors were wooden, smooth and polished and the finishing around the home was every interior designer’s dream. During the whole tour, around six huge bedrooms were counted, a library placed in the artic, a number of balconies and countless bathrooms spread across the residence.

The staircase was wooden and somewhat spiral and the doors stood high and mighty. The lady who was kind enough to walk her virtual guests through all their four living rooms and two kitchens gave people ideas of how to decorate a house after racking up stacks of cash.

Every item in the home seemed like it fell from heaven and every nook and cranny was clean. Even the compound looked like a page from a style magazine and the gazebo that sat at one end of the compound resembled a cabana. 

Kenyans on social media took it upon themselves to call for investigative arms of the government to probe the family’s source of wealth.

Already, the family has been linked to SGR, dams and stalled stadia tenders. Will they survive?
