Ardent DP Ruto supporter and Sirisia MP John Waluke who was recently fined Ksh 727 Million and sent to 67 years in prison has suffered yet another blow in parliament adding to his woes.

Waluke who was found guilty of fraud was on Wednesday, 15 July 2020 ejected from all the National Assembly leadership positions in Parliament.

His name was conspicuously missing from the list of Committee on Implementation where he has been sitting since 2017.

Waluke who is staring at life in the cold should he fail to raise the fine or mount a successful appeal was recently ejected from the vice-chairmanship of the Administration and National Security committee where he sat as the Jubilee party moved in to kick out rebel MPs, mostly allied to DP Ruto.

Reports indicate that his place at the house leadership will be taken by, Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi with Kiambaa’s Paul Koinange retaining his chairmanship.

Weluke’s family recently caused a stir when they appealed to the public to help in raising his bail.

Netizens were quick to dismiss the initiative, pointing out that the lawmaker did not share the proceeds of his crimes.

Others challenged the family to use the millions he had made from the fraudulent deal to pay the fine.

His plight attracted the attention of his political rival Moses Nandalwe who offered to support in raising the funds after he was approached by the MP’s wife.

He however did not disclose how much he would raise to offset the MP’s bail.
