After their divorce years ago, gospel musician Betty Bayo and pastor Victor Kanyari have continued to be good co-parents.

However, Betty recently trolled her ex-husband after he commented where his children go to school.

The clergyman suggested that his two children speak impressive and fluent English because they attend one of the best schools in the country.

He claimed that he pays Ksh420,000 every term as school fees.

But the singer laughed off the claims, saying they were outright lies.

“Why is a certain media outlet spreading lies? Did he say he parts with Ksh42,000 as school fees? Verify your information first before publishing,” she wrote on Facebook.

She added that the headteacher of the school her daughter and son goes would be surprised if she came across such news.

“Imagine lying like this yet their principal is online,” she said.

The artiste also refuted claims that the man who recently proposed to her was white.

“I have seen the media claim that I’m engaged to a mzungu. I wish my bae was online to see that,” the mother of two said.

The unidentified man proposed to the musician in November last year.

However, she refused to reveal his face. Every time she posts him, his face is always hidden with an emoji.

What netizens usually see is a small part of his face and because he is light-skinned, they concluded he is a mzungu.

A few weeks ago, she praised him for healing her broken heart and agreeing to raise children he did not sire.
