Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru has come out with guns blazing following the just-concluded nominations for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Laikipia East constituency.

Waruguru was angling for UDA ticket, but it seems her hopes have been dashed.

Preliminary results seen by Litkenya.com indicate that the controversial lawmaker has been floored by her rival, Amin Deddy.

However, Waruguru claims that the exercise was not free and fair as Deputy President William Ruto had promised.

In her lamentation, the Woman Rep said Deddy conspired with UDA officials in Laikipia to rig her out.

According to Waruguru, some polling stations in her strongholds did not open, and therefore, her supporters did not cast their votes.

The fuming legislator stated that UDA discriminated against her because she is a woman.

“Everybody has seen my efforts as a woman. I have traversed this area asking for votes and then this? Even God is not happy with this kind of injustice,” she said.

The wheelbarrow party conducted its primaries today and the voting finished a few hours ago.

Litkenya.com will keep you updated as the results stream in.
