The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal says it has decentralized its services to ensure disputes arising from party primaries next month are heard and determined in just two weeks.

The tribunal’s Chairperson Desma Nungo says they have increased personnel in preparation to handle cases which may arise when political parties fail to internally resolve disputes.

Nungo who spoke Friday morning in an interview on a local TV station said they had recruited 18 new temporary members and that the Tribunal now has a total of 25 members who will be deployed to several parts of the country.

She said the move is in efforts to meet the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) timelines, as well as help realize the Chief Justice Martha Koome’s vision of an accessible judiciary
