The documentary offers a glimpse into the football superstar’s life.
“Everything he does is about entertainment,” is arguably the perfect quote to describe Brazilian football superstar Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, and the trailer to his new documentary, currently streaming on Netflix Kenya, says as much.
Neymar: The Perfect Chaos offers a glimpse into the superstar’s life, from joining Santos FC at 11 years old where he eventually made his professional debut, playing for the Brazilian national team at 18, to becoming one of the most popular, controversial athletes in the world.
In this three-part documentary, many of Neymar’s teammates past and present–along with the star himself–try to tell the story of why exactly he is the way he is. The most insightful part of the documentary comes from footage of his coaches realising that although he was talented, he was arrogant and unpredictable.
For any fan of football, it is worth a watch if only to answer the age-old question that usually comes with great talent, is he great because he’s difficult, or is he simply difficult because he’s great?
All three episodes of Neymar: Perfect Chaos are currently streaming on Netflix Kenya.
