When country’s wealthiest families are listed down, the Kenyatta family finds itself among the top names of wealthiest Kenyans. The family, which has given Kenya its first and fourth presidents is incredibly wealthy. Kijabe Street in Nairobi’s CBD points to large number property owned by the First Family, across the country.
Kijabe Street is different from any other streets within the CBD. According to reports, almost 80 percent of all property along the busy street, are owned by the Kenyattas.
The shops, offices, warehouses and facilities, including hotels along Kijabe Street are owned by the Kenyattas. In fact, Mediamax and the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation, owned by the First Family are all , located along Kijabe Street.
Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is the current and 4th President of Kenya. He has been the President of Kenya since 2013. He is the son to Jomo Kenyatta, first President of Kenya.
Uhuru is renowned as the most affluent person in Kenya. He owns a number of different companies and his net worth is estimated at Sh 50 billion.
