Vera Sidika is reminding everyone that she owns a gun

Vera Sidika always adores being encased in controversies. We are not sure who her legal advisor is as yesterday the socialite-cum-businesswoman took to Snapchat to share a photo of her gun.

Vera Sidika showed her over a hundred thousand followers her black firearm reminding everyone that she indeed owns one. In her caption, she wrote “Bad energy stay farrrrr away” implying that she was issuing a warning to her haters.

This is not the first time a Kenyan celeb would flaunt his/her gun online. In a leaked video last year, Willy Paul threatened to draw out his gun on a person. In another case, DJ Moh was arrested following a public outcry after showing his firearm in public.

Following the shooting incident at B Club where Embakasi East MP allegedly shot DJ Evolve, there has been a debate of people allowed to own guns.

When bought legally, it will cost you between Sh100, 000 and Sh350, 000 to own a firearm. However, an improper exhibition of a firearm could land one into serious legal trouble. According to Article 88 of the penal code , it prohibits brandishing of weapons in public.

Any person who goes armed in public without lawful occasion in such a manner as to cause terror to any person is guilty of a misdemeanour, and his arms may be forfeited

This is clearly a tricky situation for Vera Sidika. Stay tuned for updates as we will bring them to you!
