Wiper Hands Malombe Direct Ticket to Run For Kitui Governor

Former Kitui Governor Julius Malombe will be Wiper Party’s candidate for the Kitui Gubernatorial post in the 9th August elections.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka handed the nomination certificate to Malombe at the Party’s command Centre on Tuesday, 19th April in Karen, Nairobi

The unanimous decision came after a consensus led by Kalonzo between Malombe and the former Kenyan Ambassador to Uganda Kiema Kilonzo.

Speaking during the meeting, Kalonzo said before settling on Malombe they considered several options including a scientific survey, religious leaders’ concuss, and National Executive Council (NEC) resolutions.

The Wiper leader further said that the party is committed to engaging all aspirants in the ongoing nominations to ensure fairness and openness in the process.

Deputy Speaker Jessicah Mbalu also got the direct ticket for Kibwezi parliamentary contest after her competitor William Malile agreed to support her in running for the third term.

Malombe will be contesting for the seat with the incumbent Governor Charity Ngilu.
