Popular influencer and Youtuber Xtian Dela has today revealed that he will be on the ballot come 2022. In a strong message on his Twitter handle, Xtian said that it is about time the youth stopped complaining about the government and be the government themselves.
Xtian declared that he will seek to unseat second term Westlands MP Timothy Wetangula Wanyoyi. His candidature, that caught his fans by surprise, has received mixed reactions with a section of netizens cheering him on.
The social media influencer’s entry into the Westlands constituency race adds him to a list of notable personalities in Kenya who have shown interest in joining politics.
Popular comedian and radio presenter Felix Odiwuor alias Jalango has also shown interest in the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat. Former K24 news anchor Betty Kyallo also hinted that she will contest for the Nairobi county women representative seat.
