Jalang’o recently disclosed that his money streams were increasing already. Yes, in a year when Covid-19 has ravaged many businesses, the man explained that his new side-hustle, that is his YouTube show, “Bonga na Jalas” has been a cash cow for him.
The channel is one of the fastest-growing Kenyan channels with over 200k followers. Impressive thing is that he started it off as a joke barely 3 months ago.

Jalang’o who started the show as a joke has already interviewed some of the best personalities in the country, from politics to entertainment or in the media space.
He explained in a recent interview with Tonnie Murithi that YouTube recently gifted him with his first hefty cheque of KSh1.8M.
“Jalang’o TV, we’re barely 2 months old and already at over 200k subscribers. Do you know for the first 3 months since I started my YouTube channel, I’ve had at least 4 shows every week. And YouTube sent us our first cheque of KSh1.8M, just the other day.”
Jalang’o explained that the secret to his success was his consistency with content and self-belief that you are the best at what you do even if there were people above you.
