Kenya’s Covid-19 cases rise to 281 after 11 more test positive

11 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 281.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe speaking during his daily briefing, said two patients among them a doctor have recovered. A second doctor who contracted the virus is receiving treatment.

69 people have fully recovered while the number of fatalities remains at 14. Of the confirmed cases Monday, seven are Kenyans from Mombasa and four are from Nairobi’s Ruaka area. Five are female while six are male.

A Mombasa herbalist who succumbed to the virus infected three people he was treating who are among the latest cases reported Monday.

So far 13, 872 people have been tested.
