Mikel Arteta’s side, Arsenal, has cemented their place at top 4 of the Premier League table after thrashing Leeds United 4-1 at their Elland Road stadium.

The rain started beating Marcelo Bielsa’s side after Arsenal’s winger put his best feet forward to score the first goal at the 16th minute, only to add another crucial goal after 12 minutes from a deadly chip submitted through by Granit Xhaka.

The third goal came from Bukayo Saka at the 42nd minute, whose deflected effort squirmed into the bottom corner after another slick attack. Arsenal proved to be the best team in the first half of the game with 11 shots on target.

In the second half of the game, Arsenal registered a negative when centre-back Ben White made a rashed tackle at the box, gifting Leeds a penalty that saw Raphinha score making the result 3-1 at the 75th minute.

Arteta then substituted Cedric Soares’ with Japanese international Takehiro Tomiyasu who proved to be a hero with his exceptional skills at the pitch.

Tomiyasu has been out courtesy of an ankle injury but his appearance today proved that he is a good player since he was solid at the back and linked deft crosses with forwards Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

At the 82nd minute, the efforts of Norwegian footballer Martin Odegaard bore fruit after a successful dink pass for Rowe to score, making the result 4-1. Odegaard looked desperate after failing to score or give an assist at the break.

Arsenal is now fourth at the PL table with 32 points while Leeds United stands at position sixteen with poor form having won only once in their last five PL games.
