Diamond Platnumz father, Mzee Abdul, says that people have always spoken ill about Diamond ever since he was in his mother’s womb.

The celebrity’s father told Tanzania’s Yo Fave that now that he has kids, people will continue to talk about him.

“Naseeb wasn’t successful in getting a child with Wema and people talked about him. They said his cassava was not working. He has now gotten kids and people are still talking. People will always talk and you cannot stop them.”

In an interview with Tanzanian blog SNS, Mzee Abdul asked his celebrity son to follow Ali Kiba’s footsteps and marry a woman of his choice.

‘HE SHOULD JUST BE CALM AND STOP PLAYING AROUND. I PRAY TO GOD TO GIVE HIM A WOMAN WHOM HE WILL MARRY. HE IS ABLE TO MARRY AND HE HAS THE ABILITY TO DO THAT. HE IS NOW GROWN.’

Adding:

‘LIKE ALI KIBA HAS ALREADY GOTTEN MARRIED AND HE IS SETTLED. DIAMOND ALSO NEEDS TO SETTLE DOWN AND LEAVE OTHER WORLDLY THINGS. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROBLEM WITH HIM IS. I PRAY THAT HE SETTLES.’

3. When Mzee Abdul revealed he hawks shoes

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, Diamond’s dad made a public plea to his son.

“I AM BEGGING MY SON DIAMOND PLATNUMZ TO HELP ME BY OPENING A SHOE STALL FOR ME DURING THIS PERIOD OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THIS WILL AID IN AVOIDING THE RISK OF CONTRACTING THE VIRUS. AS I HAWK SHOES FROM STREET TO STREET AND INTERACT WITH VARIOUS CUSTOMERS.”

Diamond is yet to speak on this matter.

4. When he confirmed that Diamond was seeing another woman when he was with Tanasha

Rumour had it that Diamond was planning to wed a rich Oman girl and the family even travelled to her country for dowry negotiations.

The entourage had Diamond, the mum, sister Esma and a popular actor called Juma Lokole.

When Diamond’s dad was called for comment about this matter, he told Global Publishers,

“YES, I HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE WEALTHY OMANI WOMAN AND MY SON. HOWEVER, I AM YET TO GET THE FULL DETAILS ABOUT THEIR ALLEGED RELATIONSHIP,” MZEE ABDUL SAID.

5. When he said Diamond is not helping him yet he is ailing

Abdul is the father to two Tanzanian celebrities, Diamond Platnumz and his sister Queen Darleen who are both under WCB.

Their father has been suffering from a knee problem, and he says his kids haven’t helped him as much as he would like. He told Mwendokasi TV that:

AS HIS PARENT, I WOULD LIKE HIM TO HELP ME, JUST AS HE HAS BEEN HELPING OTHERS AND I BELIEVE THERE IS A DAY THAT HE WILL DO THAT. 

Adding that:

EVERYONE KNOWS THAT I AM AILING. I’M IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. MY DAUGHTER FROM LONDON IS THE ONE HELPING ME.

He says that he will appeal to the public to offset his hospital bill.
