8 more Coronavirus cases confirmed bringing number to 15 – KBC

Eight more cases of patients who have tested positive for Coronavirus bringing the number of patients to 15.

Government is tracing over 350 people who have come into contact with the patients.

Speaking during a press conference at Harambee House the health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said that names of individuals who have tested positive for Coronavirus will not be disclosing.

He instructed Kenyans to observe the set out guidelines to curb the spread of the disease.

Effective midnight Sunday night, all bars are going to remain closed until further notice.
All public service vehicles are expected to adhere to the directives issued.

Inspector General of Police Mutyambai has also directed all national police officers to immediately start enforcing the health act to ensure all regulations on social distance are followed.

Government has suspended all social gatherings in churches, weddings, birthdays, disco matangas noting that funeral services should not exceed more than 15 people.

Isiolo County Governor reiterated that counties have established county emergency response teams headed by Governors and County Commissioners that are working towards mitigating the spread of Coronavirus.
