Responsibilities
- Must be able to work independently on metal fabrication work using Gas and Arc Welding
- Hand fitting or machining processes to replace or repair faulty parts
- Testing batteries and other parts of an engine
- Checking tyres and exhausts
- Replacing or repairing faulty parts
- Balancing and re-aligning wheels
- Repairing punctures
- Giving customers advice
Qualifications
- Minimum Government Grade Test III or equivalent Diploma/Certificate
- At least 3 years’ experience in reputable Garages
- Experience in motor vehicle repair
- Technical knowledge
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to use a range of tools
- Ability to work methodically, paying attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
