Why Citizen TV popular kids show Machachari ends – Weekly Citizen

The once popular kids show Machachari aired on Citizen TV comes to an end after 13 years on friday being the grand finale.The show targeted young children lives and their interaction with the society.

Rumours has it that viewers have been complaining about the age of the characters who thirteen years ago were kids and right now they have outgrown the intended purpose of the show forcing it to be cancelled.

However talk is rife that the show being a young children’s show the actors have been misbehaving badly on social media, posing with their girlfriends which is not good for the intended audience.

As for RMS production manager, the show didn’t evolve to remain relevant to the target audience and the best they could do is to develop the story to come to and end so as they can start a new show called JOHARI for the same target audience.

Manager Ngige further revealed that they prepared the crew early and had several counselling sessions, mentorship and preparations for them to move on with their lives.

The media house intends to support the crew as they pursue their dreams . Baha is a producer of his on content and some of the other girls have recorded songs which would be found on Viusasa.

The station has made several changes, and most of the shows, the likes of ‘Inspekta Mwala’ and ‘Papa Shirandula’ that used to air from 7.30pm every day will now air from 6.30pm.
