The prices of Kenyan coffee have fallen by up to 15% at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE), in what NCE Chief Executive Daniel Mbithi attributes to high volumes of low quality produce.

This comes even as the auction is set to close this month and reopen in the second week of July in order to accommodate short-term crop from Eastern and Western Kenya.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE) has decided to replace their current auction system with KOSMOS, Aucxis’ standard stand-alone sales and information system, therefore enabling remote buying.
