Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Rashid Aman has reiterated that the government has not profiled any community in the fight against COVID 19 in the country.
Speaking Thursday morning when he led the Al Khair foundation in distributing 5,000 face masks to Westlands Health Center in Nairobi, Dr. Aman refuted claims that the government was targeting to frustrate a particular community or faith in the fight against COVID -19, particularly in the areas that strict measures have been put in place to combat the spread of coronavirus.
He said it is just by chance that the two most affected areas of Eastleigh and old town in Mombasa which were closed by the government are predominantly of a particular faith.
He stated that 70 percent of patients in the country get mild symptoms, adding that with strict adherence to set guidelines, the country will make a milestone in the fight against Covid-19.
He urged all Kenyans and partners to continue supporting the government’s efforts in combating Coronavirus.
