ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has reappointed Edward Mwasi chief executive officer Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board for another three-year- term.
Mr Mwasi’s first term as head of the government-run publishing house was to end in early July.
The former head of graphics at the Nation Media Group has spearheaded transformations in the government publishing industry by opening up the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board to partner with the mainstream media to help disseminate empowering content to citizens.
Other than the Kenya Year Book which is published annually, some of the organization’s recent publications include Kickoff – history of football in Kenya, Mzee Moi’s funeral souvenir programme, Agro-Innovation, The Women Trailblazers in Kenya and MyGov, the official government newspaper.
The Kenya Year Book intends to release several other sector-specific books, including a Moi’s Cabinet Biography series, one on food security and Universal Health Coverage.
The latest edition of the institution’s flagship publication, The Yearbook 2019, that was themed the Government’s Big4 Agenda, breaks down President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development agenda, highlighting the pillars that make up the agenda.

The mandate of the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board is to periodically compile, edit and publish the Kenya Yearbook and document the works of the government.
