Form 2 boy kills his 10-year-old brother over maize in Butere

A Form 2 boy has killed his 10-year-old brother after a disagreement about maize escalated at their parents home in Butere.

According to reports, 15-year-old Emmanuel Okwako pummeled his 10-year brother who had reportedly stolen maize from their farm and thereafter sold it to their neighbor for Ksh.50.

The decedent had reportedly fled from their home after selling the maize, only to re-appear later where he was confronted by his elder brother.

In the ensuing scuffle, Okwako is said to have jumped on the deceased with blows and kicks.

The body of the deceased was found later near their house.

Police officers from Butere police station are currently holding the 15-year-old as investigations into the matter kick off.
