Alexis Sanchez set to be recalled by parent club Manchester United

– The Chille international’s time at Inter Milan is reportedly coming to an end

– Man United are reportedly unwilling to further bolster Inter’s attack with both sides competing for the the Europe League

Manchester United winger Alxis Sanchez is reportedly set to return to his parent club as the Red Devils are unwilling to extend his loan deal at Inter Millan.

According to The Mirror, the 31-year old could return to Old Trafford as early as July.

The motivations behind the discontinuation of his loan deal are quite odd, as reports indicate United are unwilling to further bolster Inter’s attack as they consider the Italian giants as competition.

Both Inter and Manchester United are in the running for Europe League glory this season as they are both into the quarter finals of the competition.

Inter was willing to bear some of the burden of Sanchez’s lofty wages by extending his loan deal at least by two months so he could finish the season in Italy.

The Italian giants are however unwilling to give Sanchez a permanent deal, and United are more keen on bringing him back to Carrington.

Ahead of United’s game against Tottenham last week, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer strongly hinted Sanchez still had a slim lifeline at United.

“Of course there’s a place for good players and good people in this environment,” Solskjaer said. “Let’s see where we get to after the season because we do feel this squad is exciting. We do feel we’re on the way to something,” the gaffer said.

For Inter, the Chille international failed to rediscover his blistering form that made him a crucial part of both his former clubs Barcelona and Arsenal.

He has scored only once in 17 games for the Italian outfit in a loan outing that has been riddled with injuries and struggle for match fitness.

Inter were also dealt another blow as Chelsea are also set to recall their Nigerian winger Victor Moses.
