– A social media opinion poll carried out by TUKO.co.ke ranked DP William Ruto the highest with over 66% of the votes cast
– Opposition leader Raila Odinga emerged second with 14.7% of votes cast
– Governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos) emerged third and fourth respectively
Despite the prevailing heavy storms in the country’s political waters, Deputy President William Ruto would win a presidential election against other major players if elections were held today.
A recent poll conducted by TUKO.co.ke on Twitter indicated at least 66 % of Kenyans would vote for the DP as Opposition leader Raila Odinga trailed from behind with paltry 14.7%.
Although he has not declared his interest to vie for the presidency, Raila Odinga’s support from Kenyans for the top seat has decreased significantly in the recent past days since the March 2018 handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Another interesting candidate who has been pushed by Kenyans to declare his interest for the top seat is Governor Kibwana.

However, with emerging leaders and political realignments, Mutua’s political lantern lamp is slowly running out of fuel.
Recently, he gave out speeches in different languages targeting youths in bid to lure them to support his 2022 presidential ambitions but evidently from the recent poll its yet to yield positive results.
