Ruto is a coward general who has failed to fight for his troops – Ex-Sport CS Echesa

Former Sport CS Rashid Echesa has taken a swipe at his sworn ally the Deputy President William Ruto for abandoning his troops as they are being massacred by his apparent enemies.

Echesa, who has been a strong DP Ruto defender wonders why his boss is not doing anything when the same people who have been praising and defending him at political rallies are being hunted down by an enraged head of state, baying for their blood.

The former CS went ahead to say DP Ruto is a weak General who has deliberately failed to protect his allies in the middle of a purge being undertaken by the President Uhuru Kenyatta.

”The DP is the General, and we have been fighting for him. I can’t understand how a General can abandon his troops and remain silent when they are being purged the way we have seen in the Jubilee Party, ” Echesa said.

The Former Sports CS Rashid Echesa rubbished claims COTU Boss Francis Atwoli and Kakamega Governor Oparanya are responsible for the troubles facing Tanga Tanga in Western Kenya and blamed it on the weakling character of the deputy president.

“There has been talk about Mr Atwoli and Oparanya pushing for the changes, but I never saw them at State House. The person I saw was the Deputy President and unfortunately, he didn’t raise a finger on the fate of Mr Washiali” slammed Echesa

By virtue of his relationship with Ruto, the former CS has not only faded into political oblivion but is also having several corruption cases that saw a number of his property and assets being impounded.
