A Nairobi court has dealt media, Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) a major blow after stopping them from Commenting on the Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino’s case where he was charged with the attempted murder of Felix Odhiambo Orinda alias DJ Evolve.

The court further ordered that the MP’s case to be mentioned on August 11 to establish whether DJ Evolve who is the victim in the case has recorded a statement as the prosecution of the lawmaker is claimed to have been delayed by the fact that DJ Evolve is not able to do anything for himself currently.

“Prosecution of Embakasi MP Paul Ongili Babu Owino over the attempted murder of DJ Evolve has been slowed down by the inability of the victim to record a statement following the shooting which affected his speech,” the DPP posted

The DPP boss Noordin Haji was forced to respond following a public outcry by a section of Kenyans on why Owino is not yet prosecuted.
