2020 UEFA Champions League quarter final draw finally revealed

– Manchester City could potentially meet Juventus in the quarter-final

– Quarter-final fixtures are set to take place between August 12 and 15

– There will be no second legs in the quarter-final clashes

The draw for the 2019/20 quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League was released on Friday, June 10, with some potential mouth-watering clashes on the horizon.

One confirmed fixture will involve a clash between German giants RB Leipzig who will take on Atletico Madrid who eliminated Liverpool in the round of 16.

Other fixtures are as follows:

Real Madrid/Manchester City vs. Lyon/Juventus

RB Leipzig vs. Atletico Madrid

Napoli/Barcelona vs. Chelsea/Bayern Munich

Manchester City are well on course for the quarter-final as they beat Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg back in March.

Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are also already in the quarter-finals as they comprehensively beat Chelsea 3-0 in the first leg.

Bayern will, therefore, play the winner of the last 16 tie involving Barcelona and Italian outfit Napoli.

Because of the ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic, this season’s subsequent quarter-final ties will be played as a straight knock-out, single-leg fixtures.

The second legs of the round of 16 will be played on August 7 and 8 while quarter-finals will be played between August 12 and 15.

The final will take place on August 23.
