The artiste said the hacker managed to change his credentials at 1:59am on Sunday, July 12.
“We have confirmed that last night at about 1:59am, our Kigame Media TV Youtube channel was pulled down and deleted by a hacker who managed to get into my personal account, changed the credentials and obliterated it,”said Kigame.
Kigame said he had notified the police of the matter and urged them to pursue the criminals behind the hacking.
“We have notified, taken all the necessary screenshots and notified the police. Our digitial records show it was done in Fort Wayne, United States of America (USA),”the singer stated.
Kigame said the channel had grown from one subscriber in 2015 to 71,400 as of Sunday, July 12.
“We posted our last video last night which was one of our Sunday service. More than 1,000 people had already viewed it. The only way to respond to the action is to give glory to God. We apologise to all our fans and appeal for patience as we continue to pursue this matter,”he added.
Kigame is popularly known for his Swahili songs Huniachi, Enda Nasi, Usiniache, Ombi Langu, Pokea Sifa and Sweet Bunyore among many others.
