Kenyans Unhappy with Uhuru After Awarding Hospital Beds Tender to Kiambu Artisan Sidelining Juja’s Meshack Otieno

President Uhuru Kenyatta has angered Kenyans with his move to award 500 hospital beds tender to a group of youth innovstors from Githunguri Kiambu County sidelining Juja’s Meshack Otieno.

The President gave the order to the youthful innovators group led by Mungai Gathogo and Joseph despite the Juja based artisan Meshack Otieno who makes the same bed work going viral on social media.

“I have not been given an order by anybody. Yes, I do work with seven guys but today we are only fours of us and we have not been visited by any government official,” Meshack stated.

Meshack said his only plea was that the government to at least give them an opportunity to showcase their talent as well.

“If the government has given out an order it’s okay and we commend it for doing that.

“However, I am actually the one who went viral on social media, I am the one who was eating on one of the beds illustrating how it works, I too should be considered and be given an order even if it means we divide the order, it’s okay, at least we all shall have received something out of it,” Meshack added.

The President’s move to award the Kiambu artisans the tender noticed by Kenyans on social media who pinpointed that the order was given to the ‘wrong’ group of innovators condemning the President’s move as Juja group are the ones whose innovation went viral.
