VIDEO: Drama Ensue in Parliament as Junet Mohammed, Kimani Ichung’wah Engage in Public Spat Over Catering Committee

Drama scuffled in Parliament as Suna East Member of Parliament engage in a public spat with his Kikuyu counterpart Kimani Ichung’wah over catering committee.

This exchanged heated up after the National Assembly Minority Whip mocked Kimani’s over his new role in the House as the
Committee of Members Services and Facilities member.

The ODM Member of Parliament stated that he will blame his Kikuyu counterpart if the quality of tea and mandazi wosens.

“I have never doubted the capacity of Hon. Ichung’wah, he is one of the best Members of Parliament in this house Mr. Speaker, having served with him now in two terms, and I know he will serve very well in Committee of Members Services and Facilities, the catering committee, ” Junet stated.

“If the quality of my tea and mandazi goes down, I will only blame Hon. Ichung’wah and nobody else,” Junet added.

The outspoken Kikuyu lawmaker who seemed moved by Junet’s parody fired back assuring Junet that everything involving his committee will be appropriately facilitated noting that committee had already working on ways to facilitate how Members would attend the special session.

“I wan to assure you, Hon. Junet, that you are properly facilitated,” Ichung’wah replied.

Inside sources privy to the ongoing fumigation in the Senate and National Assembly revealed that Ichung’wah had earlier been proposed to be part of the Finance committee in the National Assembly before being moved to the catering committee as ODM members also wanted a slot in the finance Committee.
