Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula could be on his way to Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC Party, after months of consultation between the two party leaders. Wetangula, who has led the party for over a decade, it is claimed will be deputizing Musalia Mudavadi, ANC’s party leader.

”The plans to join ANC was informed by the decision to have a single political outfit for people of Western Kenya. Our division and lack of a single political party we can all identify with has been our main undoing,” says an MP from Kakamega county.

Mudavadi and Wetangula have been trying, elusively to have the Mulembe Nation under one political house. However, this may seem to be an uphill task and there are beliefs in some quarters Senator Wetangula could be angling himself for a merger between the two parties.

Western Politics is turning out to be quite complicated especially now that COTU Boss Francis Atwoli with blessings of Uhuru, is marshaling anew political base. In his team, Kakamega Governor and ODM Deputy Party leader Ambetsa Oparanya. Raila’s ODM has been the dorminant party in the region.
